Links

This guide explains how to use the ChessMint link library to collect and share useful web links with your club.

The link library is a shared list of web links inside the ChessMint workspace. Use it to keep the club's important web pages in one place — the federation website, a live game broadcast, training videos, articles, or the club's social media.

Links are found in the Library section of the sidebar, next to Documents and Gallery. Only members with the right permission see the Links page.

  1. Open the Links page from the sidebar.
  2. Click New Link.
  3. Enter a title and the web address (URL).
  4. Optionally add a description so others know what the link is for.
  5. Choose a category: Website, Video, Article, Social Media, or Other.
  6. Choose whether the link is public or private (see below).
  7. Click Create to save.

When you add a link you decide who can see it:

  • Public — the link is shared with everyone in the club who can open the Links page.
  • Private — the link is only visible to you, the person who added it.

Use private for your own bookmarks, and public for links the whole club should have.

The public option appears for members who manage the club's shared links. If you can only add your own links, they stay private to you.

Favorites

Mark any link as a favorite to pin it to the Favorite Links card on your dashboard, so the pages you use most are one click away. Favorites are personal — each member chooses their own.

The link list lets you:

  • Search by title or description.
  • Filter by category or by your favorites.
  • Sort the list by title.

Select a link to open it in a new browser tab.

Members with the right permission can update the list:

Action Description
Edit Change the title, address, description, category, or public/private setting.
Favorite Pin or unpin the link on your dashboard.
Delete Remove the link. A confirmation appears first.

Access

Everyone with link access can view links and add their own private ones; admins manage the club's shared, public links. Members without link access do not see the Links page. For who can do what across the workspace, see Roles & Access.

  • Title clearly says what the link is.
  • The web address is correct and opens the right page.
  • A category is chosen so the link is easy to find.
  • Public or private is set correctly.
  • Links the whole club needs are marked public.
  • Outdated links are updated or removed.
